Red face Need help. How to get least damage ?

Ok, my title might confusing but here is my question.

I'm newbie...so bare with me....^ ^

I'm the Faction-mission player. I've been play Guildwars faction some months now...I made my charactor lvl 20 with lots of XP points. Bought some skills, armors and weapons.

But whenever I go out for missions, I found my charactor beatin up by mobs.I gets most damage from monsters and bosses. But my magic doesn't give as much damage as computer players. just enough make though some quests and few mission.

I'm Necro/Ele. Mostly usein Flare, Elite skil Elemental Attunement, Armor of Earth, Rust and Kinetic Armor(not sure this one that I use).

My attributes mostly on fire and earth.

Could you tell me where can I get most strong armor that get much less damages and how do I build most strong magics/enchantments for my charactor? Weapons??

I read some skill build up section some are not aviliable for me. I went though 50% of the map.. and too weak to go fight every single mobs( you know colorful bosses)

Could you point me out?
Thx.

Down in the campfire section, go to the Necro section and look around for a build there that would be more suitable for your profession. As catacylsm, Kaineng Center has max level armor, weapons and such. The enemies might have a higher attribute in fire, earth or w/e.

Use necromancer skills... Or get an elementalist.

Minion skills w/ elemental glyphs for example.

Thx for reply.
My armor lvl is 60. is it a max? If I equip all lvl 60 armors then I get less damages right? but seems not much different.
I read ... 15k armors...looks awesome...must have highest armor lvl..right? where can I get them? do I have to explore map all the way to get them? chest, globes, pant and boots, 15k each of them?

If yor Armor level is 60 then its max. The campfire section is lower on the guru forum main page it contains builds for every proffesion. And the reason your attacks arent doing the best are that you normally use skills for your primary profession with secondary skills as a backup, there are exceptiopns to this, a R/W thumper for example.

As for 15k armor it is exactly the same as Kaineng centre in terms of armor level, but looks different and costs a lot. In factions you can get them in Vasburg Armory, after finishing Gayala hachery (Forget outpost name) and in the zone after the final mission.

I just found that sections...
So If I want effectively attack enermies, I should stick with main proffesion skills and use second pro. as backup right? ok...I'll try that.

As I mention above about my proffesion, should I change my second pro. ? It seem everyone choose a Necro/Monk...

I like how you're trying to help the guy, but please remind yourself of one of the Guru rules. Don't bash the English language. Was all of that one sentence?
Let's clean it up a little..

Yeah, a lot of Necro's choose Monk as their 2ndary profession because they use Healing Skills to heal their minions. The majority of N/Mos are Minion Masters.
Maximum armor for Necromancers is usually 60 AL, but you can always get the Tormentor's set which gives 70 AL per piece, but you take more damage from holy attacks. Or, go with the Minion Master armor which gives you armor for additional minions that are under your control. There should be some N/Mo Minion Master builds in the Necro section, or check guildwiki.org for builds.

You can get staves (staffs) that add up to +10 to your armor level.

Also, you might want to look for skills that heal yourself or make you harder to hurt. If you play as a minion master, there's a skill called Dark Bond that does that. Also, Vampiric Horrors give you health. On the other hand, you're likely to sacrifice health a lot too.

Playing as a blood magic necro is a little like playing as an elementalist, which you obviously like to do. But when you hurt enemies, you also gain health (of course, you also don't hurt them as fast -- that's the tradeoff).

And by the way, Flare is hardly the best fire spell, and Rust is useful only against a few opponents. Visit the Elementalist forum under Campfire below for more discussion of that.

The other thing to consider is are you using any Major or Superior Runes on your armor? If you have too many equipped it will bring your health pretty low and monsters will target you automatically.

If you find you are targeted too much, please be sure to flag your hench/oes to go into battle before you do. Then you can sneak in and wreak havoc in relative safety and obscurity.

I don't use any kind of runes, cuz I can see loses too much of my health. So I'm lookin for a strongest armors and skills I can buy them.

My one of my goal is make my charactor strongest(armors, skills and weapons) as possible and go solo in missions/farming. And finish the Faction so I can go to the Nitefall.
I saw many guildwars' video clips...amazing...by himself, kill many many of enermies and survived...that's What I want to do soon.

Necro is a squishy, a caster that dies fast.

First rule: don't get hit.
Second rule: if you get attacked, run away from melee, move out of range of casters, out of area damage, and so on.

It is possible to make a semi-invincible necro, but then you won't be of much benefit to the team. It is responsibility of monks to keep you alive with healing and protection skills.

But if what you're actually ask is how to solo farm, then that's a different story. In that case you'll need a very area specialized skillset. Most commonly for necro it was either 55 build (55 health, protective spirit, healing breeze and similar) or Aura of the Lich. These builds aren't foolproof and they don't work in most areas. They also cost a bit to make. But for more on this look into Farming forum.

I have a necro, and it's a lot of fun to play.
A lot of the posts above have covered most of what I have to say, but here's a couple of things:

1. There are really cool spells in the necro skills that are worth having, as they deal damage and make it harder for enemies to hit you--reckless haste and price of failure are two good ones.

2. As a second profession, Mesmer offers you more spells to reduce your damage--ones that blind your enemies or make them miss with attacks.

3. If you want to stay Necro/Ele: use mostly necro skills, and then earth magic for "wards:" spells that reduce chance for enemy hits: Ward against Melee and Ward against foes; armor of earth. Let your necro skills do the damage.

4. I have loved my necro and have come to realize that...well, necros don't make the best farmers. See the 55 build for a good build. But beyond that and maybe Minion master, you may not find all that many great solo builds. I have happily henched my way around, found good groups, and saved my money as best I can.

5. You have, at AL 60, max armor. 15k armor is for looks, not function--unless I've missed some key part of the game here. You might look carefully at your armor--some armors carry bonuses depending on minions, or other circumstances.

6. you can add armor by using a staff with an armor mod. +5 always, or +7 vs. elemental or vs. physical are pretty good staff mods.

Happy killing, man!
